Penny's BUSY BUSY month of May!

HELLO EVERYBODY

Oh me oh my...how May did fly! Me and Mom have been just meeting ourselves coming and going! It started out with Mom's BEAUTIFUL new Key West Kitchen. She loves it.. I love it too and her and Good Ole Dad are letting me in occasionally again because it's hot and I love the carpet :)

Of course Mr. Know it All Loved by All, Little Brother Spike comes and goes when he feels like it!

As soon as the Kitchen was finished Mother's Day arrived. This is one day that Mom thinks is the most important day of the year ~ All of my Peeps were here.. Sister Suzy and her Lindsey along with Horsey Girl...Sister Tina and her Wayne along with Precious and Rowdy and brother Daniel and his Kat and Little Bitty! It was a very big day and I took part of every moment of it.

Very soon there after Little Bitty had his big School Celebration for his End of School. Mom and Dear Ole Dad, his Mama Kat, his grandma and Sister Tina and Precious came to see him seen his "Bumble Bee" song. They were so proud! I on the other hand was very offended that I was NOT allowed to go!

Then the very same night Precious had his Preschool graduation and the WHOLE FAMILY(cept for sister Suzy's fam) came and they had a wonderful night and were so very proud of that boy! AGAIN... I was not allowed to go..hmmmph.... It's their loss.

Then.. Joy oh Joy...Auntie came to visit from way out west! She was here most of the week and I thoroughly enjoyed her:) One day she and Mom walked down Emmett Stone Lane and let me come along.

BUT the indignity of it all! Mom put a leash on me.. She is some how offended that I go and greet my friends as we walk. How humiliating! But I did get to go with them so that's a step in the right direction~

But Auntie's week came and went quickly and then May was over and here we are in June! I'm so excited that it's summer but I get hot:( Annoying goes swimming in the pool all the time, that is NOT for me.. I do NOT like to see the bottom, I prefer the the big murky pond!

Thankful Tuesday ....MY SISTER!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEA!

By the time she read this it won't be her birthday, but today IS her birthday and I'm so thankful for my sister. Everyone should have a sister and everyone should have a sister like me.

My sister and I have always be a "pair".. I've never been on this earth, without my sister and I'm so glad of that.

She and I didn't have great teenage years, because of family heartache, but we had a wonderful childhood and I have no memories where she is not part of that childhood.

I wish I were as kind as my sister. I wish I were as gentle as my sister. Not that I think I'm mean etc. but she is very kind and sweet and loving and I admire that so much in her.

My sister has had more then her share of heartache in her life, but I always picture her smiling! And thru it all she has maintained her strong faith in God and in those around her.

Last year we had the opportunity to take a trip together. We had more fun then the law allows :) We laughed and we walked and we talked and we shopped and we looked and we ATE and we drank ~ I wish we could take a trip together every year.

I wish everyone had a sister like I do. Happy Birthday dear Sister!!!

More trucks..more men..more excitment!

Oh Yes.. I awoke this morning as Dad arrived home from work.. Always my best days, cuz I know I don't have to wait for Mom and Dad isn't leaving! But hmmmm Mom's up early too, must be something going on~ So just as I'm stretching and getting my wits about me here comes a BIG TRUCK! oh I do love big trucks, I do I do! I know when big trucks come, men come and men pay attention to the important residents of this residence!

TWO men.. count them...TWO and they pet and talk and pet and talk to me while ringing the doorbell.. I just love it. But very soon Good Ole Dad opens the door and talking begins.. lots and lots of talking and in and out and round about. And moving things and more talking.

The the MOTOR begins.. along with a very very long hose that goes all the way in to Mom and Dad's house. It's all so exciting and I could be of help, but they seem to be handling it ok without me.

Then as soon as it starts it's over! and the hose is placed back in the truck and men and Dad are "discussing" stuff.. One of the thing's is little sister "Annoying" who has become more annoying then I can stand.. They seem to be quite taken with her.. GRRRRRRR

Anyway, they are off and Mom and Dad get on with their day.. Not sure what exactly happened, but I'm now forbidden to come in and lay on the carpet! EXCUSE ME!

Dad and I have begun the garden, we are late, but we have a frost warning, so maybe a good thing. Mom has been working on putting some flowers in pots. They had a dollar sale at Lowes on Saturday and Mom spent lots of $ :)

Mom got some special flower's for CC's pot and now she's all beautiful again!

Dad spent most of the day hunting for the stuff to open the pool.. He put it away so good it took him all day to find it! Little Brother Spike loves hanging with Mom. He loves the sun and she thinks he's the cutest cat that ever lived~ sheeeesh...He is funny though and now that spring is here and summer close, he has lots more invisible creatures to sneak up on and pounce! So far he has brought Mom 3 moles, 2 birds, 1 squirrel and a very scared baby bunny(Dad saved him) He also had a 3 course meal on frogs from the fish pond one night. GAG! He drank so much water the next day Mom wondered if frogs were salty :)

Anyway, enough about our daily adventure's.. I'll catch you up on the little people in my life!

Horsey Girl got her a car! It's a Mustang just like she rides but this one she drives:) She also got an armload of awards at Awards Day at school!

Rowdy came and helped his Papa pick up sticks and saw limbs Sat. He had great fun and even got a lovely scar from it.. He was VERY impressed :)

Precious is very sick. He got shots and medicine and all kinds of stuff and sister Tina had to race him to Franklin and back to the Boro. Rowdy went with them and he was a great help. He's a good boy.. Precious must be well in 3 days.....HE GRADUATES!

Little Bitty was here and fed the horses strawberries.. THEY SPIT THEM OUT! He was very insulted

This is Little Bitty's last week of school too.. We will miss him!

Riley age 10


This week I am am SO thankful for our oldest grandson Riley! He is an incredible boy that we are all so very proud of. I've often said that I have an amazing family that was created in a amazing way. It's unique and wonderful. When I was a little girl dreaming of how my life would be when I grew up, I never dreamed of how it has. And all of my children and grandchildren have brought me an amazing wonderful life. Riley didn't join our family until he was 6 years old Riley in the 1st grade when he came to us.

but it seems like he's always been here:) He is 10 years old now and growing in to a handsome young man. Riley has the most beautiful blue eyes you could ever ask for! In fact I think they look like perfect marbles. Riley is very smart and makes excellent grades in school, he loves all his friends and his friends love him. I don't think Riley has a mean bone in his body. Riley played baseball one summer and did very well, but scheduling just didn't allow for him to keep doing that. This last year he played on the Church league basketball team and he's gone to basketball camp every summer. He also swims like a fish and loves to shoot the bow and arrow with his Papa and he also loves to drive Papa's tractor. But he also loves to read ALL the time. I think he plans on reading every book that has been written. I'm reasonably certain Riley is partly monkey and perhap's a little yo yo thrown in :) Riley, love's to be dressed up like a really cool dude~ although his Mother has to guide him in this direction :) He has a wonderful sense of humor, but can be very serious and sensitive. I'm so very proud of everything Riley does and we are looking forward to watching him grow up to be a successful young man.

Most of all Riley is the best big brother any one could every hope for. Riley came to us thru a horrible tragedy, but out of that horror this remarkable, deeply loved little boy has emerged.. We LOVE YOU RI RI!One of my favorite pictures. Angela with Riley and Wayne with Jimmy
