Thoughtful Thursday

From the Manchester Times dated June 3 2009 "A one vehicle wreck claimed the life of a young mother Lynn Marie Shultz 28. According to the THP, she died when her truck left the roadway and struck two brick mailboxes. Her surviving daughters are Madelyn and McKenzie who were not with her at the time . A memorial has been set up for the children at Traders National Bank"

Flash back to November 2005 almost identical story was written with the name's being "Angela" and "Riley".

When oh WHEN are Mama's going to be more important then those damn brick mailboxes! You can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get mailboxes that cars bounce off of. Some one may be hurt but nothing compared to the bricks.

I pray that Madelyn and McKenzie have someone to care for them and love them like Riley does.

And by the way, the brick mailbox that killed Angela was back up in less then a week.

  3. And no father is listed in the Obit so I'm supposing the grandparents will raise them. I heard they were both under 6 years of age.

  4. It's amazing to me how something so small and trivial can make such an impact on so many people's lives. And it's so easy to fix!

  6. I knew what you meant Anita..I use to think brick mailbox holders were pretty, they matched the houses. Now they just look like weapons to me.
